A Certificate of Occupancy or Certificate of Approval is issued to the owner upon completion of all inspections/priors. A copy may be requested.
To facilitate this change contact, Public Works at 856-235-3520, opt #2. The sanitary sewer system, water meter and sidewalks will need to be inspected before this change can occur. You must also contact the Fire Prevention District at (856)234-1222.
The inspector will leave a receipt. There may be multiple inspectors depending on the project. Contact our office if further information is needed. You may also view the results on the public portal.
A copy of the permit, which identifies the scope of work, is provided upon issuance. Ask your contractor to provide you the receipt documents and construction placard. The permit belongs to the owner. The placard must be displayed in a noticeable area to the Inspector.
