Outdoor Athletic Courts & Field Lights Update During COVID-19
The Department of Parks and Recreation will provide residents with additional recreational opportunities during this pandemic. The following will be the outdoor athletic court and field light procedures through the remainder of the winter:
  • The basketball and tennis court lights at Jeff Young Park and Maple Dawson Park will be turned ON from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on days when outdoor temperatures reach at least 40 degrees at 5:00 pm.
  • The lights will NOT be turned on if temperatures are forecast to be below 40 degrees at 5:00 pm, if it is raining, or if the courts are covered with snow or ice.
  • The Wesley Bishop turf field lights will be on for Parks & Recreation programs or if the fields have been rented.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to offer Moorestown residents a variety of recreational activities and facilities on nearly 667 acres of open space. Among these are numerous neighborhood and community parks found throughout the town. Each park has its own personality and special amenities that it offers to the community. From sports fields to playgrounds and outdoor activity, Moorestown has something for everyone.
